From June 9 - 11, 2026, the world’s leading exhibition for sensor, testing, and measurement technologies - SENSOR+TEST 2026 - will take place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in Germany. ADW will showcase a range of innovative sensing solutions at Booth 1-521, including its advanced clamp-on flow sensor, which is expected to attract significant attention for its non-contact measurement capability, easy installation, and exceptional adaptability.
The ADW clamp-on flow sensor adopts a non-invasive ultrasonic measurement principle. Two ultrasonic sensor units continuously transmit ultrasonic signals toward the center of the pipe section and receive reflected echoes. By precisely calculating the ultrasonic transit time within the pipeline, the system accurately determines liquid flow velocity and instantaneous flow rate.
The entire measurement process requires no pipe cutting, no interruption of fluid flow, and no modification of the pipeline structure, significantly reducing installation complexity and maintenance costs.

Key Features and Advantages
External Clamp-On Design with High-Precision Non-Contact Measurement
The sensor is mounted directly on the outer surface of the pipe without contacting the fluid itself. This design eliminates risks related to corrosion, contamination, and pressure loss while maintaining excellent measurement accuracy.
Broad Compatibility with Multiple Pipe Materials
The sensor supports a wide range of pipe materials, including:
Rigid metal pipes such as carbon steel and stainless steel
Flexible plastic pipes such as PVC, PE, and PTFE
This ensures excellent adaptability across diverse industrial environments.
Compatible with Multiple Fluid Types
The system supports measurement of various conductive and non-conductive liquids, including:
Water
Ethanol
Chemical solutions
It is suitable for industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment.
Dual Communication Interfaces for Flexible Integration
The sensor supports both UART and RS-485 communication interfaces, enabling seamless integration with industrial control systems and IoT platforms.
Industrial-Grade Protection
The complete sensor system meets IP67 protection standards, offering outstanding resistance against dust, moisture, and temporary water immersion, ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial environments.
Ideal Applications
The clamp-on flow sensor is particularly suitable for:
Retrofit projects where pipeline cutting or shutdown is not permitted
Hygienic piping systems in food and pharmaceutical industries
Corrosive liquid transportation systems
Temporary or rapidly deployable flow monitoring applications
Its non-contact operation, zero leakage risk, and easy clamp-on installation make it an ideal solution for modern industrial flow monitoring and control systems.
