The PU0002-000 is a miniature ultrasonic Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor featuring a Surface-Mount Device (SMD) package that enables direct PCB reflow soldering, eliminating the need for separate mechanical assembly.
It offers an ultrawide Field of View (FoV) of up to 180°, which can be further customized to meet specific application requirements. The sensor supports both transceiver (single-transducer transmit/receive) and bistatic (separate transmit/receive) operating modes. When paired with the recommended drive circuit, it delivers precise distance measurement for targets between 20 cm and 500 cm, as well as proximity warning signals for obstacles within this range.
Utilizing ultrasonic waves, the sensor functions seamlessly in any lighting condition—from bright sunlight to total darkness—providing centimeter-level ranging accuracy regardless of target color or optical transparency. With its customizable FoV and robust performance, the PU0002-000 is ideal for a broad range of applications in security monitoring, industrial automation, and smart home systems.
