The PU0001-000 is a miniature ultrasonic Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor featuring a Surface-Mount Device (SMD) package that enables direct PCB reflow soldering, eliminating the need for separate mechanical assembly. Designed for short-to-medium range detection, the PU0001-000 delivers accurate distance measurement from 10 cm to 120 cm when paired with the recommended drive circuit, while also providing early proximity warning signals for obstacles within this range. Additionally, it supports a bistatic (separate transmit and receive) configuration to achieve zero-blind-zone distance sensing. Utilizing ultrasonic technology, the sensor operates reliably in any lighting condition—from direct sunlight to total darkness - providing millimeter-level ranging accuracy regardless of target color or optical transparency. Featuring a 90° acoustic field of view (FoV) with customizable angular profiles, the PU0001-000 is widely applicable in security systems, industrial sensing, and smart home automation.
