The clamp-on flow sensor is a non-contact fluid flow measurement device. Two ultrasonic sensors continuously transmit ultrasonic waves to the centre of the pipe section and receive the reflected echoes. By measuring the propagation time of the ultrasonic waves in the pipe section, the sensor calculates the velocity and flow rate of the liquid in the pipe.
